WILMINA VAN’T HUL
Wilmina Van’t Hul, the daughter of John A. and Henrietta (Sandbulte) Schuitemen was born October 9, 1934 east of Sioux Center, Iowa and graduated from Sioux Center High School. Wilmina was united in marriage to Bernard Van’t Hul on February 19, 1954 in Sioux Center, Iowa. They resided in Rock Valley, Iowa until moving to Sheldon in 1960.
Wilmina’s passion for life, were her children and their families. She was a member of the Bethel Reformed Church, where she served as the church secretary for several years. Later, she was employed at Koele’s Accounting. She was active in ladies circle, “Evening in December” productions, and was also a past president of the Sheldon Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family, interior decorating, collecting lighthouses, art and sports. Wilmina passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2005 at the Northwest Iowa Health Center ~ Senior Care in Sheldon, Iowa reaching the age of 71 years, 2 months and 2 days.
Wilmina leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of nearly 52 years, Bernie Van’t Hul and five children, Barbara Johnson and her husband, Donald of Archer, IA; Odean Van’t Hul of Chesapeake, VA; Rhonda Holland of Boise, ID; Diane Carr and her husband, Dr. Anthony of Saskatoon, SK; David Van’t Hul and his wife, Brandie of Owatonna, MN; eighteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers and their spouses, Art and Frances Schuitemen of Sioux Center, IA; Robert and Helene Schuitemen of Sheldon, IA; two sisters and their spouses, Delma and John B. Broek of Sioux Center, IA; and Norma and Norman De Jongh of Luverne, MN. Also, sisters-in-law, Wilmina Schuitemen of Sioux Center, IA and Lyda Van’t Hul of Hull, IA; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Arvin Schuitemen and a grandson, Tommy Johnson.
