WILLARD “BILL” W. OSLIN
Willard “Bill” Waddell Oslin, the son of Sigurd and Abby Elizabeth (Cook) Oslin, was born to on February 24, 1925 in Benton County, Minnesota. He received his education in Foley, Minnesota schools, graduating from Foley High School. On May 21, 1949, he was united in marriage to Annamay Ida Scrivens in Rockford, Illinois. After their marriage the couple settled in Rockford for many years. He was employed as a machinist in various machine shops in Rockford. After his retirement he worked part-time in a hardware store in Rockford. His wife preceded him in death on April 20, 2000 in Rockford. He remained in Rockford, until moving to Primghar, Iowa on May 1, 2004. He passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at the Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, reaching the age of 82 years, 1 month and 23 days.
While living in Rockford he attended the Redeemer Lutheran Church. He enjoyed fishing and was known for always working with his hands and helping many people.
Left to cherish his memory, three children, Karen and her husband, Tom Spurlock of Rockford, Illinois; Gary Oslin of Primghar, Iowa; Sondra and her husband, Doyle Logan of Primghar, Iowa; six grandchildren, two sisters, Adelia Andersen of Deer Wood, Minnesota; Lorine Burtts of Dillon, Montana; also other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Annamay; his parents, one brother and a sister.
