WESLEY “BUD” W. WILSON
Wesley William Wilson, the son of Fred E. and Elizabeth (Koepnick) Wilson was born July 23, 1932 in Sheldon, Iowa. He received his education in Sheldon graduating from Sheldon High School in 1950. On March 30, 1951, he joined the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean Conflict and served aboard the USS Caliente. He was discharged from the Navy on March 25, 1955. In 1952, he was united in marriage to Rose Marie Thietje. The couples’ married life was spent in Sheldon. Bud owned and operated Wilson Electric for 35 years before his retirement in 1994. The couple’s retirement years were spent in Sheldon. Bud passed away at his home in Sheldon on Friday, October 9, 2009, reaching the age of 77 years, 2 months and 16 days.
He was a lifetime member of the VFW of Sheldon.
Bud is survived by his wife, Rose of Sheldon; he was the father of Bill Wilson (Vennita) of Fort Pierre, South Dakota; Mike Wilson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Lynn Wilson (Jaci) of Des Moines, Iowa; Laura Tremmel (Joe) of Clear Lake, Iowa and Cheryl Bender (Terry) of Tea, South Dakota; four grandchildren, Nicole Woessner (Joe); Wesley Tremmel, Benjamin Tremmel, and Brody Wilson; great-grandfather of Kassaday Summers; Krimzon Summers and Chambree Woessner; also other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Joyce M. Patterson and Mildred G. and her husband, Alfred G. Lass.
