WANDA BREYFOGLE
Wanda Breyfogle, the daughter of John and Mae (Grunke) Larson, was born in Plainview, Nebraska on April 22, 1921. She received the majority of her education in Nebraska. In 1938, she moved with her parents to Sanborn, Iowa as she graduated from Sanborn High School in 1939. On June 21, 1952, she was united in marriage to Roy Breyfogle in Hartley, Iowa. They lived in Primghar all their married life. After Roy’s death in 1973, Wanda continued to live in Primghar. Wanda worked for lawyers a number of years, her last employment was with Hubert Schultz of Schultz & Green Law Office for twenty-two years, retiring in 1988. She passed away at the Baum-Harmon Mercy Hospital on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 reaching the age of 89 years, 10 months and 23 days.
She was a member of the United Church of Primghar, United Church Women, Rebecca Lodge in Primghar, Hospital Auxiliary, and Legal Secretaries Association. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, quilting, cross stitching, and playing cards.
Wanda leaves to cherish her memory her two children, Karen and her husband, Bill Bumgarner of Spencer, Iowa, and Mark Breyfogle of Ely, Minnesota; six grandchildren, Roslyn Breyfogle, Michael and Kristin Luken, Michael Walker, Nicole Fredericks and Natalie Vander Hulst; four great-grandchildren; also other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
