Virginia L. (Eriksen) Luna
Virginia Lee Luna, the daughter of Mike and Linda (Lundberg) Eriksen was born on August 13, 1971. She graduated from Hohenwald High School in Hohenwald, Tennessee in 1989. On November 9, 1991 she was united in marriage to Daniel Mark Luna at the St. John Evangelist Parish Catholic Church in Lewisburg, Tennessee. The couple remained in the area where they raised their children. In 2009, Ginny was diagnosed with Melanoma. She remained at home until moving to her parents home in Paullina, Iowa where she remained until entering the Spencer Hospital in Spencer, Iowa. She lost her courageous battle on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at the Spencer Hospital, reaching the age of 43 years, 2 months and 21 days.
Ginny was a member of the St John Evangelist Parish Catholic Church in Lewisburg, Tennessee. She was an avid fisherwoman, enjoyed the outdoors, reading and doing jigsaw puzzles. She loved spending time with her grandson and loved playing cribbage with her dad almost daily.
Left to cherish the memory of Ginnys life is her husband, D. Mark Luna; her three children, Kimber and her husband, James Harrell; James Luna and Patrick Owen Luna all of Lewisburg, Tennessee; a grandson, Jordan Harrell; her parents, Mike and Linda Eriksen of Paullina, Iowa; four brothers, John Eriksen of Gaza, Iowa, Joseph Eriksen of LeMars, Iowa, Samuel Eriksen of Petersburg, Tennessee and Peter Eriksen of Mt. Vernon, Iowa; also nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Virginia was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents and a brother, Darrin Eriksen.
