SHIRLEY J. MILLER
Shirley J. Miller, the daughter of Lester G. and Florence (Coffee) Miller Sr., was born May 5, 1937 in Sibley, Iowa. She received her education and graduated from Sibley High School in 1955. She furthered her education at the University of South Dakota. She lived in various communities and was blessed by two children, Jamey and Joel. She settled in Primghar and raised her children and was employed at the A.S.C.S. office in Primghar until moving to Sheldon in 1989. She continued her education and graduated from Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon with a degree in the Administrative Assistant program. She was employed in the Human Resources Department at Van Wyk Trucking in Sheldon until her retirement in October of 2008. She passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at the Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines, reaching the age of 72 years, 8 months and 15 days.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Jamey and her husband, Steve Cox of Cambridge, Iowa; a grandson, Ryan Hardin of Wellington, Colorado; three great-grandchildren, Shayna, Shaylee and Keylee Hardin; two brothers, Verlis Miller of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Dennis Miller of Hagerstown, Maryland; also other relatives and many friends.
Shirley was preceded in death by a son, Joel McGlynn on April 17, 1985; her parents and one brother, Lester G. Miller Jr..
