at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ashton,
with the family present from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.,
a Catholic Daughters of America rosary at 4:30 p.m.
and a Scripture wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m.,
at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ashton.

Sharon M. Pomrenke, the daughter of Martin and Mary (Beberger) Hatting was born February 15, 1949 at Ashton, IA. She grew-up in Ashton, where she attended school and graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School in 1967. Sharon was united in marriage to Edwin Wm. Pomrenke on November 11, 1967 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ashton. After their marriage the couple made their home in the Ashton area. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin on June 13, 2002. Sharon remained in the family home until June of 2008, when she moved into Sanborn. Sharon passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at her residence in Sanborn, reaching the age of 60 years, 4 months and 13 days
She was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Ladies Guild and Catholic Daughters of America in Ashton. She enjoyed driving, going on vacations, shopping, decorating, going out to eat and going to the casino’s, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Sharon is survived by her four sons and their wives, Ron and Barb Pomrenke of Milford, Iowa; Rich and Sara Pomrenke of Brighton, Colorado; Randy and Wendy Pomrenke of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Ryan and Christina Pomrenke of Edgerton, Minnesota; eight grandchildren, Alec, Elizabeth, Josie, Alissa, Samantha, Jonah, Carly and Eddie; She is also survived by a brother, Robert Hatting of Sanborn; and two sisters and their spouses, Suzann and Edward Busch of Brewster, Minnesota; Rose and Don Faust of Sheldon, Iowa; also nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin; her parents, a sister, Dorothy Hatting and two nephews, Darin Doeden and Casey Faust.
