Services for Shannon P. Smith, age 53, of Sutherland, who passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at his residence.

 There will be no formal services at this time. 

 Burial will be at a later date Greenwood Cemetery in Hawthorne, Wisconsin.

 Arrangements are under the care of the Eldridge Family Funeral Home in Paullina.


 Shannon Patrick Smith, the son of Ronald James and Teresita (Salo) Smith was born on September 20, 1970, in Superior, Wisconsin. After completing his education Shannon worked in factories and worked in construction on the cement crew. Due to his health he had to retire early. He moved with his mother to Sutherland. Shannon passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at his residence reaching the age of 53 years, 9 months and 3 days.

 Shannon’s favorite things to do were fishing, hunting, being with his dog, reading westerns, going to casinos and spending time with friends and family.

 Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Terry Nault and her boyfriend Verlyn Regelin of Sutherland; father, Ronald (Jill) Smith of Siren, Wisconsin; siblings, Ronette (Donald) Schrank of Portage, Wisconsin, Karey (Brian) Williams of Calumet, Iowa, and Cody (Hannah) Smith of North Dakota; nephew and caregiver, Nolan Krizan; favorite uncle, Rich Salo of Montello, Wisconsin also, many nieces and nephews.

 Shannon was preceded in death by his stepfather, Arnold Nault; paternal and maternal grandparents, Eugene and Elma Smith and Michelle (Clifford) Talley and Eino Salo and uncles, Jack Salo and Roger Smith.

 A special thank you to Dr. Parker, Sutherland and Cherokee Ambulance teams, First Responders, O’Brien County Sheriff’s Department and the Eldridge Family Funeral Home for all of their care and help.
