            Scott Stallmann, age 28, of Hospers passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024 at his residence near Hospers, Iowa.  His Memorial Service will be at 1:30 P.M. on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheldon, Iowa with Rev. Craig Nissen ~ Officiating. 

(The Family Ask that Masks be worn for the Memorial Service and the Visitation. 

For the visitation, the family invites you to wear a

black tee-shirt and blue jeans in Scott’s memory)

     No Burial at this time

            Visitation with the family present will be from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Friday, March 22, 2024 at the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sheldon, Iowa.

    Scott Matthew Stallmann, the son of Nicholas Sylvester and Dianna Sue (Hill) Stallmann was born on April 4, 1995 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He received his education from Sheldon High School, graduating in 2013. He furthered his education by receiving degrees in Anthropology and Communications at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, South Dakota in 2018. Scott loved to travel and was set to serve in the PeaceCorps in Nepal prior to his cancer diagnosis. Scott passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024, at his home in rural Hospers, Iowa surrounded by his loving family, reaching the age of 28 years, 11 months, and 14 days.

      Scott was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheldon. He loved music, teaching himself to play different instruments. He also enjoyed reading, Yoga, meditation and was always interested in learning. He also loved his Chihuahua (Stella). 

     Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Nick and Dianna Stallmann of Sheldon; his sister, Kyla Stallmann and her wife, Alice Card of Gladstone, Oregon; many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

     He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents and many loved aunts and uncles.
