SALLY A. PEARSON
Sally Ann Pearson, the daughter of Harry and Flossie (Parcel) Robinson, was born October 23, 1935 in rural Cherokee County, Iowa. She received her education in Cherokee, Iowa, graduating from Wilson High School in 1954. After graduation she lived in Colorado and Missouri returning to Iowa in 1961. On July 19, 1965, she was united in marriage to Marvin Pearson in Yankton, South Dakota. They farmed north of Sutherland, Iowa until 1977, when they moved to Primghar, Iowa and then they farmed south of Primghar. Sally worked for the Smith, Grigg, Shea and Klinker Law Firm in Primghar for nearly 34 years, retiring in 1999. She passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2005 at the Primghar Care Center in Primghar, Iowa, reaching the age of 69 years, 7 months and 8 days.
She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Royal, Iowa. She was active in her church serving on many committees and working at all types of functions. She was secretary of the ELCA for many years. Sally was president of the Ladies VFW Auxiliary for 5 years; she was the treasurer of the Primghar Community Building Board for 9 years and a member of the Hospital Auxiliary and treasurer of the Legal Support Professionals of Northwest Iowa.
Family was important to Sally, especially the great-grandchildren, she and Marv held many a family activity in their home for both of their families. She enjoyed being with family and friends, cooking, baking, playing cards, golfing and being a help to the less fortunate.
Sally leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Marv of rural Primghar, Iowa; a son, Tom Pearson of West Plains, Missouri; two grandsons, Ryan and Matt; two great-granddaughters, Shayna and Shaylee; four brothers, Lloyd Robinson of Meriden, Iowa; Raymond Robinson of Renton, Washington; Loren Robinson in Illinois; and Larry Robinson of Cherokee, Iowa; also nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Ronald; Bernard and Harry; two sisters, Gladys and Nina.
