ROLAND J. RON KURTH
Roland Joseph Kurth the son of LeRoy and Margaret (Mack) Kurth was born October 10, 1926. He passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017, reaching the age of 90 years.
Ron married Esther (Rolfes) on September 6, 1949 in Le Mars, Iowa. They moved to Primghar, Iowa in 1961, where they settled on a farm to raise their seven children. Ron enjoyed farming, driving school bus, trucking and spending time with his family.
He liked Western movies, looking at books, country drives, golfing, sunny days and cookies. Ron was a National Guard Reserve and a member of the Kiwanis.
Ron is survived by his by his children, Bev (Dave) Padget from Florida, Jan (Bob) Riepma from Florida, Mark (Laurie) Kurth from California, Fred (Terry) Kurth from Texas, Kathy (Steve) Leng from Iowa, Tim (Gayle) Kurth from Illinois, and Michelle (Drew) Townsend from Illinois; twentyone grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; three brothers, Robert (Audrey), LeRoy (Judy), Joseph (Joann) Kurth; and many nieces and nephews.
Ron has joined his parents, wife, (Esther), siblings, Ann Margaret in infancy, Larry (Armella) Kurth, Mary (Lyle) Rosberg, Gerald (Marlene) Kurth, Charlene (Delmar) Lehner, Paul (Rosie) Kurth, one granddaughter, Sarah Kurth and one great grand-daughter, Chloe Riepma.
