Services for Roger E. Frangenberg, age 68, of Calumet, who passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at his residence. His funeral service will be 4 P.M. on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Sutherland Church of Christ with Pastor John Erickson, officiating.
Burial will be at Waterman Cemetery in Sutherland.
Visitation with family present will be from 2 to 4 P.M. on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at the Sutherland Church of Christ.
Arrangements are under the care of the Eldridge Family Funeral Home in Paullina.

ROGER E. FRANGENBERG
Roger Eugene Frangenberg, the son of Anthony and Laura (Rupp) Frangenberg, was born on June 16, 1955, in Cherokee, Iowa. He received his education and graduated from Primghar High School in 1974. After school he worked with his dad Tony, with garbage service. In 1980 he bought his first truck and was an over the road truck driver for Einck Trucking, RanDel Transport, Van Wyk and Lenertz Trucking and others until 1989. After his dad passed away, Roger bought his dad’s half and ran Frangenberg Sanitation with Dan in 1990 and in 1991 was the sole owner and operator of Frangenberg Sanitation until 2002. He married Linda Feenstra on July 9, 1993, in Primghar, Iowa. In 2002 he sold his business to his son Mike and his wife Lisa and moved to Dodge City, Kansas and started Frangenberg Sanitation Roll-Off Service and was contracted to haul for National Beef until 2007. They remained in Dodge City, Kansas until settling in Calumet in 2018 where he worked for JTV and Mill Creek Machining before retiring. Roger passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at his home reaching the age of 68 years, 10 months, and 15 days.
Roger enjoyed racing of all kinds, especially NASCAR as he was a huge Dale Earnhardt fan. He also enjoyed the Primghar Figure 8 races as a fan and also a driver winning the 1976 O’Brien County Fair Trophy Dash and later became an official. He was proud to watch the next generation of Figure 8 Champions in Mike, Jon and Jeremy. He was even more proud to see his grandkids get behind the wheel as well. Other things he enjoyed were trips to the candy store, taking grandkids on garbage truck rides and family outings.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Linda, children, Mike (Lisa) Frangenberg, Angie (Jason) Shilling, Christie (Kurt) Rodger, Jon Wulf, Jeremy (Ashley) Wulf, Jamie (Eric) Riedemann, Melinda (Mark) Wester, Shelly (Dillan) Zimmer; grandchildren, Zoey and Hadley Wulf, Tyson (Annika), Taylor and Tawni Wulf, Kirstin(Case) Moermond, Brock (Kenna), Boston, Brady Riedemann, Jordan Wulf, Jaxtan and Asher Wester, Decklan and Hayes Zimmer, Mason, Anna, Nicholas, Matthew Frangenberg, Ashley, Brennen, Taylor, Luke Shilling, Chase and Kali Rodger, great grandchildren, Kyra Wulf, Sophie Shilling; siblings, Dan (Bonnie), Kevin (Karen), Colleen (Steve), Jane, Paula (Sherwin) and LuAnn (Roger), along with many other relatives and friends.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Laura Frangenberg and parents-in-law, John, and Sophie Feenstra, three brothers-in-law, and great granddaughter, Lily Wulf.
