ROBERT P. HUFF
Robert Paul Huff, the son of Reynold and Lavonne (Wallick) Huff, was born July 25, 1947 in Sheldon, Iowa. He received his education in Sheldon and graduated from the Sheldon High School in 1966. On July 16, 1966, he was united in marriage to Nancy Hopkins at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheldon, Iowa. The couple made their home in Sheldon, where he worked with his dad and brother in the John Deere dealership until they sold the dealership in the mid 1980’s. Bob owned and operated with his wife, the Brower Bakery in Sheldon. Bob also worked as the custodian for St. Patrick’s Catholic School and for the past 16 years, he and his wife Nancy have managed the Autumn Park Apartments in Sheldon. Bob passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at his residence in Sheldon, Iowa, reaching the age of 60 years, 9 months and 4 days.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheldon and a 15 year member of the Sheldon Ambulance Team. He enjoyed cat fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Bob leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 41 years, Nancy Huff of Sheldon; their three sons and their wives, Lyle and Lisa Huff of Ashton, Iowa; Ed and Samantha Huff of Sioux City, Iowa and Jay and Tricia Huff of Burlington, Iowa; nine grandchildren, Scarlet, Jeremiah, Ben and Brianna; Kiefer, Madeline and Alec; Marissa and Caden; and a special niece, Rae Lyn; three sisters, Gloria Dunnick of Sheldon; Donna Orthmann of Sheldon and Bonnie Grave and her special friend, Dave Tripp of Centerville, Iowa; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a special granddaughter, Eleanor Grace; and a brother, Jerry L. Huff.
