RICHARD J. ULVELING

Richard J. Ulveling, the son of Joe and Florence (DeLorme) Ulveling was born August 18, 1933 in Remsen, Iowa. He received some schooling in Remsen and moved with his family to Sheldon in 1942. He went on to attend Sheldon schools graduating from Sheldon High School in1951. After his graduation he made his home in Sheldon with his parents and was employed at the Iowa Theater in Sheldon, where he worked for several years. He remained in Sheldon until 1990, when he moved to the Hartley Care Center and later transferred to the Community Memorial Health Center, in Hartley. He passed away at the health center on Saturday, March 1, 2008, reaching the age of 74 years, 6 months and 13 days.
He was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Sheldon.
Richard is survived by the caring employees of the Community Memorial Health Center who cared for him the last several years of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Doug.
