PATRICIA E. ROHWER
Patricia Elaine Rohwer, the daughter of Henry and Minnie (Bouma) Kraft was born on November 19, 1928 in Van Horn, Iowa. She attended and graduated from Van Horn High School in 1945. After graduating she moved to Des Moines, Iowa and worked for Northwestern Bell. She was united in marriage to Merrill Rohwer on November 3, 1952 in Des Moines, Iowa. After their marriage, the couple settled in O’Brien County where the family began to farm. In 1988, the couple moved to Paullina. Merrill preceded her in death on April 16, 1991. She passed away on Monday, October 8, 2012 at the Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa reaching the age of 83 years, 10 months and 19 days.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed knitting, quilting, needle point, tatting, gardening, feeding birds, reading, crossword puzzles and going to garage sales. She enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Patricia leaves to cherish her four children, Bernard and his wife, Susan Rohwer of Archer, Iowa; Scott Rohwer of Archer, Iowa; Melissa Rohwer of Cherokee, Iowa and Rebecca Rohwer of Paullina, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Nathaniel, Jeremy and his wife, Amy, Andrew, Mara, Sarah, and Matthew Rohwer and Samantha Kies; two great grandchildren, Bensen and Isabelle Rohwer; one sister, Arlyce Kraft of Alameda, California; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Merrill; her parents; two brothers, Elvin and George Kraft and one sister, Connie Jacobson.
