NORMA J. SCHEIBER
Norma Jean Scheiber, the daughter of Emory and Henrietta (Kamies) Mohlenkamp was born July 29, 1934 in Ashton, Iowa. She grew up on a farm near Melvin, Iowa and attended country school in that area and later graduated from Melvin High School. After high school Norma worked as a bookkeeper for J.C. Penney. She married Duane Scheiber on May 20, 1953 in Worthington, MN. After their marriage the couple lived in Sanborn, Iowa before moving to Sheldon. The couple owned and operated Scheiber Plumbing and Heating, where she worked as the bookkeeper. She passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2005, at the Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, reaching the age of 71 years, 2 months and 21 days.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheldon and was a member of the Esther Circle. She was a member of the Sheldon American Legion Auxiliary and the Red Hats Society. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Norma leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Duane of Sheldon; two sons, Brian Scheiber of Spirit Lake, Iowa and Bruce and his wife, Kendra Scheiber of Seward, Nebraska; three daughters and their husbands, Linda and Floyd Petersen of Rushmore, Minnesota; Vonda and Jeff Olthoff and Julie and Kirk Jervik all of Sibley, Iowa; she is also survived by ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two sisters and their husbands, Phyllis and Ronald Sterler of Sanborn, Iowa and Eileen and Jim Grave of Sibley, Iowa; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
