Mayme R. Witt
Mayme Rose Witt the daughter of Edward and Mathilda (Koch) Feldotto was born January 15 1925 near Gaza, Iowa. She was raised in Paullina and attended Zion Lutheran School and Paullina Public Schools. On February 21, 1943 she was united in marriage to Lester Witt in Paullina, Iowa. Lester was the son of Henry and Sopie (Runge) Witt. To this union five children were born, Sherryl (Lee) Glaser of Paullina; Barbara (Carl) Molgaard of Peterson, Iowa; Patricia (Craig) Dittberner of Canton, South Dakota; James (Kim) Witt of Loveland, Colorado and Joel Witt of Paullina. The couple made their home in Paullina for many years and Lester passed away on June 11, 1981 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Mayme had made her home at the Paullina Care Center and later the Sutherland Care Center for several years. She passed away at the Sutherland Care Center on Sunday December 26, 2010 reaching the age of 85 years 11 months and 11 days.
She was baptized on February 25, 1925 at the Evangelical Reformed Church in Calumet and confirmed into the Lutheran faith at Zion Lutheran Church where she was a member.
Mayme leaves to cherish her memory her children; eleven grandchildren Shani Quintela, Deonn Hjelm, Kirk Molgaard, Karolee Andreasen, Kyle Molgaard, Krista Box, Heather Dittberner, Heidi Dittberner, Angela Witt, Melissa Sigsbee, Megan Witt; three great grandchildren Hayley and Reilly Andreasen and Caden Rohrich, a sister-in-law Lucille Riedemann of Paullina also other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, grandson Daniel Glaser, parents, two brothers Albert and his wife Nora Feldotto, Harley and his wife Esther Feldotto, sister Viola and her husband Roy Hagedorn, sister-in-law Anna and her husband Al Kluender and a sister-in-law Arlyce Poskochil and a brother-in-law George Riedemann.
