MARK G. HANSEN
Mark Gordon Hansen, the son of Dale E. and Gloria (Luedke) Hansen was born April 25, 1955 in Primghar, Iowa. He attended Primghar schools and graduated from Primghar High School in 1973. He graduated from Westmar College in LeMars, Iowa in 1977 with a double major in Industrial Arts and Math. He helped farm with his dad while in high school and college and after college returned to Primghar and farmed the family farm. Mark was a steward of the land and was a member of the Verity Farm Group. He also was active in 4-H for over 30 years being a leader to many young people and helped plant trees throughout Primghar. Mark passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at the Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa reaching the age of 55 years and 4 months.
He was baptized and confirmed at the Grace Lutheran Church in Primghar, where he was a lifelong member and served on many committees. He was currently the Center Township Clerk. Mark was a friend to all and loved to visit with everyone.
Mark leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Gloria Hansen of Primghar; one sister and her husband, Jean and Mark Zylstra of Humboldt, Iowa; two nieces, Nicole and Danielle Zylstra and one nephew, Austin Zylstra; also aunts, uncles other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dale E. Hansen in December of 1998.
