MARIE POSTEL
Marie Postel of Gilbert, Iowa, passed away December 28, 2005 at the Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, Iowa. She was born August 18, 1914 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to John Ransom Brundage and Pearl (King) Brundage. She spent much of her life in the Primghar area, graduating from Primghar High School. On August 20, 1938, she married Wilfred Allen Postel. She was a life-long member of the Church of Christ. While in Primghar, she worked at her mother’s nursing home and at Burdette’s Market. In 1966, she and her family moved to Ames, Iowa, where she worked at the Riverside Manor until her retirement.
Marie is survived by her children, Allen Postel and his wife, Keiko of Ames, Iowa; Paula Williams and her husband, George of Port Royal, Virginia; two grandchildren, Amanda Williams of Salt Lake City, Utah; and Nathan Williams of Fredericksburg. Virginia. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Myrle Brundage, formerly of Primghar, Iowa; Ruth Woods and Lois Postel of California; a brother-in-law, Charles Postel and his wife, Phyllis of California and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, and a brother, Burdette Brundage.
