She received her education in Hot Springs and graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1970. She went on to attend two years of college at Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota, where she studied music. Peggy was united in marriage to Donald Lee Thompson on December 30, 1979 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lake Crystal, Minnesota. Peggy passed away on Friday, December 28, 2007, after a courageous 2½ year battle with Pancreatic Cancer at her sister’s home in Salem, Oregon, surrounded by her loving family, reaching the age of 55 years, 3 months and 1 day.
While living in Minnesota, Peg had a horse breeding business and raised Persian Cats. In Iowa, Peggy enjoyed singing, dancing and Karaoke. She loved her many friends from all over the world that she met in on-line chat rooms. She was the life of the party.
Peggy was a fun loving, caring mother of two children, Adam Nathanial Thompson of Mankato, Minnesota and Kathryn “Katie” Rose Wollman of George, Iowa and a grandmother of three, Kelsei, Donavan and Hailea.
