LUCILLE M. ROOK
Lucille M. Rook, the daughter of Charley and S. Grace (Beatty) Egdorf was born March 3, 1926 at Archer, Iowa. She attended Archer schools and graduated from Archer High School. She furthered her education at Nettleton Business College in Sioux City. She was united in marriage to Henry Rook. Lucille was a long time resident of Primghar and was employed many years at the OBrien County Treasurers Office until her retirement in 1988. She passed away on Friday, August 12, 2016 at her home in Primghar reaching the age of 90 years, 5 months and 9 days.
She was a member of the United Church of Primghar, United Church Women, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, quilting and sewing overseas book bags for her church.
Lucille is survived by her children, Leroy Rook of Miami, Florida; Mariellen Rook of Miami, Florida; Kay and her husband, Dave Nelson of Dewey, Arizona; three grandchildren, Bobbi (Darren) Tewes of Gilbert, Arizona; Erika Lopez of Gilbert, Arizona; Julie (Derek) Davis of Waterloo, Iowa; five great grandchildren, Jordan (Jared) McLaughlin of Loveland, Colorado; Mallorie and Lauren Tewes of Gilbert, Arizona and Mia and Mateo Lopez of Gilbert, Arizona; two sisters in law, Josie Egdorf of Ankeny, Iowa and Rua Egdorf of Glenwood, Minnesota; also other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Gerald; parents, two sisters, Ellen Egdorf and Dorothy Hansen; two brothers, Lester and Walter Egdorf.
