Lona Heidtbrink-Oldenkamp, the daughter of Elvin and Ardeth (Knapp) Fuhrmann was born on May 31, 1954 in Lincoln, Nebraska. She attended school and graduated. Lona was a hard worker spending most of her career working for Meadow Gold and later for Kawasaki. On May 20, 2011 she was married to Ronald Oldenkamp. After their marriage the couple moved to rural Ashton, Iowa. Lona passed away with Ron by her side on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at their residence reaching the age of 63 years, 5 months and 3 days.
Lona enjoyed spending time with her family and gardening.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Ron Oldenkamp of Ashton; two children, Ray and Christine Heidtbrink; siblings, Marty Arp, Garth Falter, Kathleen Frye, John Knapp, Mary Sturgess, David Stranghoener and Cheryl Fuhrmann; also nieces; nephews, other relatives and friends.
Lona was preceded in death by her parents.
