LOIS M. THORMAN
Lois Marie Thorman, the daughter of Albert and Esther (Kort) Paulson, was born November 12, 1931 in Sheldon, Iowa. She received her education first in schools in Boyden and later graduating from Sheldon High School. She went on to graduate from Sheldon Junior College, receiving a teaching certificate. She taught two years at Arnolds Park. On February 6, 1955, she was united in marriage to Gerald Thorman at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheldon. After their marriage the couple has made their home on the family farm south of Sheldon. She passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2006, at the Northwest Iowa Health Center in Sheldon, Iowa, reaching the age of 75 years and 17 days.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Sheldon and was always a faithful worker in the work group. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and she also enjoyed bowling.
Lois leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Gerald of Sheldon; a daughter and a son-in-law, Lisa and Dan Drenkow of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; three grandchildren, Jared, Shea and Leanna Drenkow all of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; one brother, Don Paulson of Sheldon, Iowa; two sisters, Bonnie Merley of Sheldon, Iowa and Doris and her husband, Richard Fondroy of Albert City, Iowa; also other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Louis Merley.
