Leisa Jean Kruger, age 60, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away unexpectantly on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at her home in Phoenix, Arizona. Her Memorial Service will be at 1:00pm on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at the Hansen Mortuaries in Phoenix, Arizona.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Sheldon, Iowa in the summer of 2022.
Burial will be at a later date.
Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until 1:00pm on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at the Hansen Mortuaries 8314 N 7th Street in Phoenix, Arizona



Leisa Jean Kruger, born to Gene & Twyla (Jansma) Kruger on August 1, 1961, in Rock Rapids, Iowa. Leisa grew up on a farm near Little Rock, Iowa, where she graduated from high school in 1979. Following high school graduation Leisa went to Wit College, where she received her Registered Nurse degree. She began her nursing career at St. Luke’s Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa. In 1985, she went to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona where she worked for 36 years. She retired in October of this year. She bought her home the second year she was in Phoenix. She enjoyed going on trips to Hawaii with her special friend, Melinda Bradley and family members.
She is survived by her mother, Twyla Kruger and her friend, Marvin Holtrop both of Sheldon, Iowa; her brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Beth Kruger, nephews, Devon & Denton Kruger all of Sheldon, Iowa. Also survived by her special friend, Melinda Bradley and her family. Additionally, two aunts, Linda Honkomp of Ashton, Iowa and Pat Van Briesen of George, Iowa; one uncle, Orlin and Vickie Jansma of Ashton, Iowa.
Leisa was preceded in death by her father, Gene Kruger; brother, Roy Kruger; grandparents, Fred & Susie Kruger and Elmer & Marie Jansma; uncles, Jerry Honkomp, Dennis Van Briesen, Bob & Dora Kruger, Jim & Byrla Kruger and aunts, Ruby Kutel and Lenore & Merlyn Schwarz.
