LAVERA M. PEARSON
LaVera Mary (Dau) Pearson, the daughter of Hans and Emma (Wiese) Dau, was born September 29, 1923 on the family farm west of Gaza, Iowa. She was baptized at the family home on October 19, 1924 and later confirmed on April 2, 1939 at the Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church at Calumet, Iowa. LaVera was united in marriage to Arthur Pearson on November 30, 1942. She passed away at the Baum-Harmon Mercy Hospital in Primghar, Iowa, on Thursday, April 12, 2007, reaching the age of 83 years, 6 months and 14 days.
She was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ in Calumet, Iowa.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Richard and his family of Denver, Colorado; James and his family of Elizabeth, Colorado; Linda and her family of Wenatchee, Washington; her daughter, Jennifer Jones of Seattle, Washington; also other relatives and many friends.
LaVera was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; her parents, three brothers, Elvin, Roy and Elmer.
