LARRY D. STEICHEN
Larry Dean Steichen, the son of Robert and Saverna (Kuester) Steichen, was born September 21, 1954, in Canby, Minnesota. He moved to Paullina with his family and attended Paullina Public Schools and graduated from Paullina High School in 1972. After his graduation, he worked for the Paullina Lumber Yard and later at the Sanborn Creamery. He later moved to Storm Lake and for the last eight years he has made his home in Carroll, Iowa. He passed away in Carroll on Monday, November 7, 2005, reaching the age of 51 years, 1 month and 16 days.
Larry was baptized on October 4, 1954, and later confirmed on June 2, 1968, at Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina, where he was currently a member. He was a sports fan and enjoyed collecting baseball cards.
Larry leaves to cherish his memory a brother, Randy and his wife, Debra Steichen of Seattle, Washington; a sister, Diane and her husband, Mark Goosen of Paullina, Iowa; also nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
