JUDSON N. WOLF
Judson Nickolas Wolf, the son of John H. and Laura (Shelser) Wolf, was born March 26, 1922 on a farm near Hospers, Iowa, where he received his education in a country school. Judson started farming when he was 16 years old. On September 11, 1942, he was united in marriage to Kathryn Wipf in Schuyler, Nebraska. After living on several farms around Hospers, Judson and Kathryn made their home on the Wolf Century Farm in 1954. Judson also owned and operated Wolf Trucking, hauling cattle and grain from 1951 until 1978. In 2004, Judson moved to Rock Valley to be close to his wife. Kathryn preceded him in death on January 29, 2006 and Judson remained in Rock Valley until moving to the Field Crest Assisted Living in Sheldon in 2008. Judson passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2008, at the Sanford Sheldon Senior Care in Sheldon, Iowa, reaching the age of 86 years, 8 months and 17 days.
Judson was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheldon, Iowa; he was a past Sunday school teacher, was the past president of the church council. He also enjoyed bowling, playing cards, working and visiting with his family and friends.
Judson is survived by his daughters, Barbara Triplett of Blair, Nebraska; Evelyn and her husband, Marty Cline of Moorhead, Iowa; Muriel and her husband, Roger Koedam of Rock Valley, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Teresa and her husband, Chad Van Zee; Kyle Koedam; Adam Triplett and his fiancée, Katie Nichols; Grant Triplett; Niki and her husband, Matt Frerichs; Jewel and her husband, Chad Nickolisen; Mindy and her husband, Jade Nuzum; nine great-grandchildren; RJ and Olivia Van Zee; Emma, Nickolas and Sydney Frerichs; Chloe and Jackson Nickolisen; Jada and Noah Nuzum; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, a brother and his wife, Howard and Marguerite Wolf; a nephew, Jack Wolf and a niece, Laura Wolf.
