JERRY L. HUFF
Jerry Lee Huff, the son of Reynold and LaVonne (Wallick) Huff, was born April 6, 1950 in Sheldon, Iowa. He received his education in Sheldon and graduated from the Sheldon High School in 1968. On September 4, 1969, he was united in marriage to Lona Norris in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Jerry served in the United States Army in Vietnam from 1969 - 1971. After his discharge from the service he and Lona moved back to Sheldon, where he worked with his dad and brother in the John Deere dealership. They sold the dealership in the mid 1980’s and Jerry and his family moved to Arizona where he worked in an automotive business. They moved back to Sheldon in 1991 and shortly after that he retired due to health reasons. Jerry passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2007, at his residence in Sheldon, Iowa, reaching the age of 57 years, 7 months.
He was a past member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheldon and of the Eagles Club. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, following sports and playing cards. But his biggest joy was playing with his grandson.
Jerry leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 38 years, Lona Huff of Sheldon; two sons, Nicholas Huff and his fiancée, Heather Streif and Jeremy Huff and his special friend, Melissa Baringer all of Sheldon; a grandson, Caleb; a brother and his wife, Robert and Nancy Huff of Sheldon, Iowa; three sisters, Gloria Dunnick of Sheldon; Donna Orthmann of Sheldon and Bonnie Grave and her special friend, Dave Tripp of Centerville, Iowa; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come;
Thy will be done on earth,
as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
And forgive us our trespasses, as we
forgive those who trespass against us;
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
forever and ever.
Amen
