JEFFREY L. ROBERTS
Jeffrey “Jeff” Luther Roberts, the son of Don and Hertha Roberts was born October 10, 1948 in Early, Iowa. He received his education in schools at Early, Iowa. He was called into the service with the Army where he worked in the motor pool as a mechanic for the jeeps. After his discharge he returned to Iowa and on July 16, 1983 was united in marriage to Candy Tjossem in Gaza, Iowa. After their marriage the couple lived in Cherokee before moving to San Diego, California. They had also made their home in Faribault, Minnesota; Chicago, Illinois; Elmwood, Nebraska and for the last fifteen years in Gaza, Iowa. He had recently moved to an acreage near Paullina, Iowa, where he was employed with Mark Bradbury at Mark’s Service. He passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at the Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa reaching the age of 65 years and two months.
He enjoyed family times, reading, crossword puzzles, fishing, old music, telling jokes, being on the computer and collecting old things.
Jeff leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Candy of Gaza, Iowa, son, Beau Roberts and his friend, Tracy of Paullina, Iowa and their son, Kyle; a daughter, Crystal and her husband, Trevor Rouillard and their children, Ciara, Emma and Bentley all of Gaza, Iowa; a sister, Janis and her husband, Mike Shurban of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; his father-in-law, Wendell Tjossem and his friend, Jan of Primghar; also other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Breanna Rouillard; his parents, Don and Hertha and his mother-in-law, Beverly Tjossem.
