JEANETTE S. BOSCH
Jeanette Sophie Bosch, the daughter of Ike and Elizabeth (Vander Veen) Bosma was born May 3, 1924 in Ashton, Iowa. She received her education in the Sanborn Christian School; a country school near Hospers and Hospers Christian School. Jeanette worked as a “Rosie the Riveter” while Andrew was in the service. She was united in marriage to Andrew Bosch Jr., on August 2, 1946; they made their home in Sheldon, IA. Jeanette was a homemaker, a mother and worked for Sheldon Drapery for a while. In the spring of 1948 they moved to the family farm near Hospers and farmed for 35 years before they retired and moved to Sheldon. In 2009, Andrew and Jeanette moved to Long Term Care in Orange City, IA. Andrew preceded her in death on September 2, 2011 in Orange City.
Jeanette was a member of the American Reformed Church in Primghar and after moving to Sheldon, she became a member of Bethel Reformed Church and of the churches ladies circle. She was also a member of the Sheldon American Legion Auxiliary #145. She had a large garden and canned almost everything she harvested. She loved to do knitting and crocheting and made many beautiful gifts. She was everything from a 4-H leader, a member of the Primghar church choir and participated in many Bible studies.
She enjoyed volunteering her time at the Village Market in Sheldon.
After a wonderful and accomplished life, Jeanette S. Bosch, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2013, reaching the age 89 years and 6 days. She is survived by her 3 daughters and husbands, LaDonna Jean and Wesley Jarnagin of Altoona, Iowa; Andrea Jane and Steve Bierman of Marcus, Iowa and Ivonne Beth and Darin Lake of Meridan, Idaho; 11 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, 3 sisters, 2 brothers, and many other relatives and friends.
Those she joins in heaven are her husband, Andrew Bosch Jr., her parents, a daughter, Barbara Ann Bosch in 1956: a great granddaughter, Jenna Beth Toulouse: 6 sisters, 2 brothers and 4 brother-in-laws.
