Jeanette M. Van Meeteren
Jeanette M. Van Meeteren, the daughter of Marinus and Gertie (Peters) Van Meeteren was born November 12, 1922 in rural O’Brien County, Iowa. She received her education in country schools. After her schooling she lived on the family farm where she worked on the farm and cared for her parents until their deaths. She continued to live on the family farm with her sister Hattie and her brother John. She moved to the Good Samaritan Center in George in December of 2005 and in April of 2006 she moved to the Prairie View Retirement Home in Sanborn. She passed away on Thursday August 20, 2009 at Prairie View reaching the age of 86 years 9 months and 8 days.
She was a member of the First Reformed Church in Sheldon.
Jeanette is survived by one sister Hattie Van Meeteren of Sanborn, two brothers Bill Van Meeteren of Sheldon and John Van Meeteren of Sanborn and a sister-in-law Floretta Van Meeteren of Sanborn and many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers Nick, Chris and Morris.
