JAY E. FRITZ
Jay “Fuzzy” Edwin Fritz, the son of Alfred “Ole” and Mabel (Fegebank) Fritz was born December 16, 1958 in Primghar, Iowa. He received his education in Paullina schools graduating from Paullina High School in 1977. On August 4, 1979, he was united in marriage to Deanna Hoger at the Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina. After their marriage the couple settled in Paullina. Jay has worked at the Paullina Lamb Plant, Calumet Seed Service for four years and had been part owner of Steamway Carpet Cleaning for a year. He worked at Oosterhuis Farms east of Primghar for seven years. In between working at Farmers Elevator he was employed by Greenway Implement in Paullina. For the last several years he has been employed by the Farmers Cooperative Company at their Granville location. He was also currently the janitor of the Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina. He passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at the Baum-Harmon Mercy Hospital in Primghar after being stricken at his home. Jay reached the age of 52 years, 2 months and 27 days
He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina. Jay enjoyed being with his family, working outside and on his vehicles and keeping things neat and tidy.
Left to cherish the memories of Jay are his wife, Dee of Paullina; one son, Brian and his wife, Darcy Fritz of Paullina and one daughter, Rachel and her husband, Rahn Franklin of Storm Lake, Iowa; also two brothers, Allen and his wife, Jo Fritz of Paullina; Jim and his wife, Sandy Fritz of Paullina; one sister, Paula and her husband, Rick Weidaman of Paullina; his father and mother-in-law, Julius and Betty Hoger of Paullina; brother and sister-in-laws; other relatives and many friends
He was preceded in death by his parents.
