Burial will be at Banner Township Cemetery in Lawton, Iowa.
Visitation with family present will be from 9:30 to 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Andringa Funeral Home in Sheldon.

Jana L. DeWaay, the daughter of Otto and Alice (Bier) Meyer was born on November 27, 1938, in Sioux City, Iowa. She graduated from Kingsley High School in 1956. Jana was married to Dale DeWaay in Kingsley, Iowa and to this union four children were born, Byron, Bonita, Scott, and Stacie.
She spent most of her career as a secretary. Towards the end of her career, she worked for the Sanborn Pioneer and St. John Lutheran Church in Sanborn. Jana enjoyed gardening and traveling.
Jana entered Sanford Senior Care in Sheldon in 2011. She passed away at Senior Care on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, reaching the age of 82 years, 10 months, and 29 days.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Byron (Faith) DeWaay of Butte, Montana, Bonita (Mike) Elgersma of Archer, Iowa, Scott (Nancy) DeWaay of Archer, Iowa, and Stacie (Tate) Baird of Ft. Collins, Colorado; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Aaron and Kristin DeWaay, Jesse (Daniella) DeWaay and their children, Brooke and Rylee, Cassie (Jesse) Smith and their children, Clark and Thea, Nicolas (fiancé, Jenna Remmick) Baird and Shannon Baird; one sister, Beverly (James) Shoecraft of Sedalia, Missouri; also other relatives and friends.
Jana was preceded in death by her parents.
