Services for Jack R. Marco, age 80, of Lake Park formerly of Hartley, Iowa who passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025, at Osceola Senior Living in Sibley.

A private family graveside will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the care of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sheldon.

Jack Marco, age 80, passed away on April 18, surrounded by loved ones.

Jack was a man of boundless creativity. He found joy in building, remodeling, and crafting with wood—always looking for ways to improve the space around him, simply for the love of creating something with his hands. Whether it was a new project or a small fix, he poured care and craftsmanship into everything he did.

He is lovingly survived by his daughters Melissa O’Neil (Mike) and Melinda Nasers (Scott); son-in-law Kenny Embrey; his partner Donna; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his sisters Janice Tracy (Dick) and Marie Kluever (Darwin); and his first wife Janyce Marco.

Jack was preceded in death by his daughter Marcy Embrey, his brother Jerry Marco, and his parents Alice and Henry Marco.

At Jack’s request, the family will hold a private graveside service.

His memory will live on in the warmth of the homes he helped build, the laughter of his grandchildren, and the love he gave.
