Funeral services for Irene Massmann, age 99, of Paullina who passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at Prairie View Home in Sanborn. Her graveside service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, August 14, 2020 at Prairie View Cemetery in Paullina with Rev. Donald Erickson ~ officiating.
Visitation without family present will be from 11 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. on Friday, August 14, 2020 at the Eldridge Family Funeral Home in Paullina.

IRENE ANNA MASSMANN
Irene Anna Massmann, age 99, a longtime Paullina, Iowa resident, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2020, in Sanborn, Iowa, where she was currently residing.
Irene was born December 28, 1920, in Paullina, Iowa, to Reinhard and Carolina (Kruse) Fegebank. She attended school in Paullina and worked on the family farm with her father and six sisters after her mother's passing. On January 25, 1940, she married Rinehart Massmann in Paullina. He preceded her in death on May 5, 1994. The couple was blessed with one son, Louis.
Irene was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Irene, along with her husband, Rhiney, were the owners of R & I Lanes in Paullina. She was an active bowler, competing in many tournaments. Irene was an avid golfer, loved playing cards, and baking. She spent much of her time with friends, family and, especially, her granddaughters.
Survivors include, daughter-in-law, Linda (Van Klompenburg) Massmann, of Paullina, and two granddaughters; Julie Reinders and her husband, Dave, of Orange City, Iowa, and Jane Weber and her husband, Chad, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; two great-grandchildren, Jordan Reinders (and his wife, Emily), of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Madison Weber of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and several nieces and nephews.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son, Louis and six sisters, Mabel Fritz, Henrietta Massmann, Helen Kruger, Bernice Bonderman, Clara Niebuhr, Ida Paulsen; and three brothers in infancy.
