INEZ M. SMITH
Inez May Smith, the daughter of Roy E. and Emily (Rippon) Chapman, was born September 21, 1911 in Manchester, Iowa. She moved with her family to Primghar, where she received her education. In 1937, she was united in marriage to Albert Smith in Primghar and he passed away in 1963. She lived for over 20 years in California and Oregon later returning to Primghar. While in Primghar, she owned the Hartley Café in Hartley, Iowa; and later worked in Hart’s and Rich’s Café in Primghar, Iowa before retiring in 1976. Her retirement years where spent in Primghar. She moved into the Primghar Care Center in June 1997. She passed away at the care center on Tuesday, January 25, 2005, reaching the age of 93 years, 4 months and 4 days.
Inez is survived by her son, Larry G. and his wife, Geneva Smith of Chiloquin, Oregon; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Ethel Miller of Primghar, Iowa; also nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two brothers, Ernest and Harold and two sisters, Vera Stewart and Faye Simco.
