Greta Kay Richter, age 48, of Sheldon, Iowa passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021 at her home in Sheldon, Iowa. Her services will be at 2:00pm on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at the Andringa Funeral Home in Sheldon, Iowa with Rev. Eugene Andrus ~ officiating.
Burial will be in Gilman Township Cemetery in Ashton, Iowa.
Visitation with the family present will be from 5:00 – 7:00pm on Monday, February 22, 2021 at the Andringa Funeral Home in Sheldon.

Greta Kay Richter, the daughter of Dennis and Karen (Sagmoen) Keifer was born on January 18, 1973 in Tyler, Minnesota. She grew up in the Tyler, Minnesota area where she attended school and graduated from RTR High School in 1991. Greta was united in marriage to Jim E. Richter on August 30, 1997 in Tyler, Minnesota and the couple made their home in Sheldon, Iowa. She had worked as a nurse’s aide, and in housekeeping in a nursing home, she also had several clerking jobs and was currently working as a Checkout Clerk for Hy-Vee in Sheldon these past several years. Greta passed on February 19, 2021 at her home in Sheldon, reaching the age of 48 years 1 month and 1 day.
She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tyler, Minnesota. Greta was a people person, she loved talking to others or helping them, she always had a smile on her face. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her nieces and nephews. Her hobbies were cross stitch, embroidery, and adult coloring. She also enjoyed fishing, music and singing but most of all she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Jim; her step children, Kelly (Troy) Weiler of Rock Rapids, Iowa; Micki (Billy) Fraser of Holstein, Iowa; Brent (Kendra) Richter of Sioux City, Iowa; 8 grandchildren, Landen, Riley and Kinley Weiler; Bretton, Lathan and Annistyn Fraser; Owen and William Richter; her mother, Karen Keifer of Tyler, Minnesota; 2 sisters, Teresa Keifer of Tyler, Minnesota; Tonya (Brian) Halling of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and a brother, Adam Keifer of Tyler, Minnesota; 4 nieces, 5 nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dennis Keifer, and her grandparents.
