GARY E. BORRINK Gary Earl Borrink, the son of John Henry and Marvel Louise (Horine) Borrink, was born on May 27, 1940 in Cherokee County, Iowa and he attended school in Cherokee County. Gary joined and served in the United States Coast Guard from 1959 – 1963. After his discharge he lived in Cherokee, Iowa; Omaha, Nebraska; and South Sioux City, Nebraska, where he worked different jobs before moving to Sheldon. Gary was united in marriage to Nancy Antrim on July 25, 1980 in Elk Point, South Dakota. Gary owned the Sioux City Journal Route in Sheldon for several years; he had also worked for RV Central, drove for Tanks Ltd. and worked other odd jobs until driving a truck for Joe’s Ready Mix out of Little Rock, Iowa. Gary passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at the Northwest Iowa Health Center in Sheldon, Iowa reaching the age of 64 years, 9 months and 25 days. He was baptized on April 5, 1953 into the First Church of Christ in Cherokee, Iowa. He enjoyed a good joke, gardening and making spinners. Gary leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Nancy Borrink of Sheldon, Iowa; and six children, Kathy and her husband, Scott Humphrey of Granville, Iowa; Dale Borrink of LeMars, Iowa; Terri and her husband, Rick Boone of Sheldon, Iowa; Lori and her husband, Bob Schwarz of Sheldon, Iowa; Steve and his wife, Lisa Antrim of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Becky Antrim and her fiancée, Troy Finley of Sioux City, Iowa; 14+ grandchildren, Katie, Hayley, Amber, Kevin, Josh, Sammi, Hannah, Travis, Nick, Jacob, Beth, Sarah, Dillon, Matthew and (Tyler); also surviving him is his sister, LaVonne and her husband, Roger Brownmiller of Mason City, Iowa; 2 brothers, William and his wife, Brownie Borrink of Atwater, California and Carl Borrink of Tonto Basin, Arizona and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Jack Borrink.
