Services for Eleanor A. Kleinheksel, age 88, of Cabot, Arkansas and formerly Primghar, Iowa, who passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2007, in Jacksonville, Arkansas, were held graveside at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Primghar, Iowa on Saturday, May 19, 2007 with the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home of Paullina, Iowa is in charge of arrangements.
Eleanor A. Kleinheksel, the daughter of Andrew and Olivia Olson, was born April 9, 1919 in Litchville Township in North Dakota. She received her education in schools in North Dakota. On December 2, 1938, she was united in marriage to Orrie Kleinheksel in Dakota City, Nebraska. After their marriage, the couple lived for a short time near Jamestown, North Dakota, before moving to Portland, Oregon, during the World War II years. The couple moved to Primghar, where Eleanor was employed as a telephone operator for the Primghar Telephone Company. After living in Primghar for many years, they moved to Lakeville, Minnesota to make their home, before returning to Primghar in 1981. They moved to Cabot, Arkansas in 2005 to be near their son. Eleanor passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2007, in Jacksonville, Arkansas reaching the age of 88 years, 1 month and 6 days.
Eleanor enjoyed sewing, taking care of her house plants and especially spending time with her family.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Orrie Kleinheksel Sr. of Cabot, Arkanssas; a son, Orrie Jr. also of Cabot, Arkansas; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, a sister, Mabel Gee of Seattle, Washington; also nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and a sister.
