Visitation will be Friday, June 4th after 2:00pm with the family present from 3:00 – 8:00pm at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Sheldon, Iowa, with a Scripture Wake Service at 7:00pm and a Parish Rosary by the Ladies Guild at 7:30pm at the church.

EDNA A. SEIVERT
Edna Agnes Seivert, the daughter of Joseph and Agnes (Blanchette) Klunenberg, was born March 22, 1928 in Ashton, Iowa. She graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School in Ashton in 1946. She then worked at the J.C. Penney Store in Sibley, Iowa from 1946 – 1952. Edna was united in marriage to Robert William Seivert on August 17, 1948 in Ashton. The couple made their home in Ashton where they raised their family. In 1976, when Bob retired they moved to their lake home in Spirit Lake, Iowa and in 1993, they moved to Sheldon, Iowa. Edna is preceded in death by her husband, Bob on July 21, 2005. Edna remained in their home and passed away there on Tuesday, June 1, 2010, reaching the age of 82 years, 2 months and 10 days.
Edna was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church of Sheldon and the Ladies Guild. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and enjoyed visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, fishing, camping, gardening, bowling and wintering in Arizona.
Edna leaves to cherish her memory her five children and their spouses, Kathryn and Gary Feuerstein of Sheldon, Iowa; Karen and Michael Richter of Orange City, Iowa; Kenneth and Janet Seivert of Sheldon, Iowa; Karla and Robert Imhoff of Ashton, Iowa; Kay and Steve Winkel of Ashton, Iowa; 11 grandchildren, Connie Vreeman; Rochelle Wesselink; Angela Lowry; Julie Ludwig; Brian Richter; Kristine Stoebner; Melanie Seivert; Steven Imhoff; Kimberly Imhoff; Rodney Winkel and Troy Winkel; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister and her husband, Verna and Jim Gothmann of Waconia, Minnesota; a brother-in-law and his wife, Walter and Carol Seivert of Ashton, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Peggy Seivert of Manson, Iowa and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents; an infant brother, Wilfred Klunenberg; and a granddaughter, Amanda Beth Seivert.
