Dennis R. Egdorf, age 79, of rural Boyden, Iowa who passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at the Pleasant Acres Care Center in Hull, Iowa. His funeral service will be 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in rural Boyden, Iowa with Pastor Aaron Deutsch ~ officiating.
Burial will be in the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in rural Hull, Iowa.
Visitation with family present will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service St. John’s Lutheran Church in rural Boyden, Iowa on Saturday, September 12, 2020.
The family requests that everyone observes the social distancing guidelines
during the visitation and the service at the church.

DENNIS R. EGDORF
Dennis Ray Egdorf the son of Ernest and Edna (Bohlen) Egdorf was born October 27, 1940 on the family farm near Boyden, Iowa. He attended school in Boyden. On June 4, 1963, he was united in marriage to Henrietta Van Beek at the Netherlands Reformed Church in Sioux Center, Iowa. After their marriage the couple settled on a farm north of Boyden, where they farmed and raised their family. Dennis retired and the couple remained on the family farm. Dennis passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at the Pleasant Acres Care Center in Hull, Iowa reaching the age of 79 years, ten months and eleven days.
He was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in rural Boyden. He enjoyed family times, the family farm and driving through the country looking at the crops.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 57 years, Henrietta Egdorf of rural Boyden, Iowa; three children, Angela Knutson of Spencer, Iowa; Delwyn Egdorf of Hull, Iowa and Lonnie (Leah) Egdorf of George, Iowa; six grandchildren, Kyle (Megan) Knutson, Tyler (Kayla) Knutson, Alexis Knutson, Gordon Egdorf, Katelyn Egdorf and Emberly Egdorf; two brothers, Ronald (Tylene) Egdorf, Arlan (Linda) Egdorf; six sisters, June Van Dyk, Janice Kuiper, Carol (Bill) Ferguson, Arlene (LeRoy) Woelber, Kathleen (Lawrence) Sohl and Candice Gross, a sister-in-law, Lorraine Egdorf also many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Eugene Egdorf, three brothers-in-law, Dan Van Dyk, John Kuiper and Jim Gross.
