CEIL CRESWELL

Ceil R. Creswell, the son of Irl Roscoe and Jennie Geneva (Olson) Creswell, was born October 23, 1928 in Boyden, Iowa. He received his education in the Boyden area. After his father’s death he began farming the family farm, which became a century farm in 1992. He semi-retired from farming in 1985, but still was active in operating the farm until his car accident, which happened on November 17, 2004. He was in hospitals in Sioux City, Omaha and Sioux Falls until moving to the Good Samaritan Center in George on February 3, 2005. He passed away there on Monday, August 7, 2006, reaching the age of 77 years, 9 months and 14 days.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Sheldon. He enjoyed the family farm and getting in his car and taking a drive.
Ceil is survived by a sister, Beulah and her husband, Floyd Zimmer of Cherokee, Iowa; a nephew, Dale Zimmer and his wife, Kathy of Cherokee, Iowa; a niece, Diane and her husband, Bruce Gruetzmacher of Belle Plaine, Minnesota; also other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Irl on February 15, 1937; his mother, Jennie on October 17, 1996; and a brother, Curtis on March 5, 1961 and a sister in infancy.
