Our Little Angel

Carter Michael Koontz was the infant son of Holly Doughty and Nick Koontz of Hartley.
Heaven’s gain was our loss when our little angel was called home to heaven too soon. In the brief time Carter was here he touched the lives and hearts of everyone that held him in their arms. His mommy and daddy will forever cherish his memory.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandparents, Brett and Lynn Koontz of Hartley, Iowa; Russ Doughty of Ashton, Iowa and Lori Niichel of Joice, Iowa; great-grandparents, Cheryl and Michael Wilbur of Primghar, Iowa; Anne Koontz of Sanborn, Iowa; O.D. “Rock” and Cherie Koontz of Sanborn, Iowa; Lee Hintz of Cookeville, Tennessee; Ken and Jean Doughty of Parma, Idaho and Harold and Phyliis Niichel of Granville, Iowa; uncles and aunts, Taylor and Hunter Koontz, Kenny Doughty, Eric and Niki Doughty, Tara Doughty and cousin, Kendal Doughty; also other relatives and friends.
Carter is preceded in death by his great-grandpa, Warren “Willie” Mulder and his cousin, Nic Gergen.
