She moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 2005 and worked for Insurance Alternatives until 2006. She then began working for Esurance. While working for Esurance she had the opportunity to move to Denver, Colorado with friends. She later moved back to Sioux Falls to be closer to family. She continued working for this company until present.
Carissa enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She and her best friend since 3 years of age, Kala Schnider enjoyed taking trips together to visit friends near and far. Her family admired her for the strong friendships she maintained with school friends over the years and enjoyed her stories of friendship she made through co-workers. Carissa loved playing with her nieces and nephews and had a talent for making them laugh. She cared deeply for others and you could always count on her to be at the hospital to sit by a loved one's side or open her home to their family members to stay in time of need.
Carissa passed away August 23, 2020 following an automobile accident. She will be greatly missed and is deeply loved by those left to cherish her memory, her beautiful smile, and infectious laugh.
