ANTOINETTE BONDERMAN
Antoinette Bonderman was born March 28, 1909 to Thomas and Elizabeth (deVos) Gleason in Sheldon, Iowa. She died on October 6, 2014 in Sheldon. Antoinette graduated from Sheldon High School in 1927. Upon graduation she taught in a county school in the Paullina and Germantown area for five years. On July 1, 1932, she married Leslie Bonderman from Archer. Following the marriage they farmed in the Hartley and Sheldon area. Later they moved to their farm near Melvin.
Antoinette was an active lifelong member of the Methodist Church and a member of Eastern Star of Sanborn for 70 years. Antoinette enjoyed gardening, dancing, going on day trips with Les as well as playing cards with family and friends. Nearly every day Les and Antoinette made a trip to Sanborn for afternoon pie and coffee at Jays. She loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son, Tom and June Bonderman from Clear Lake, Iowa; Granddaughters, Kelly Kae Triptow and husband Gene of Fargo, N.D and Stacey Bonderman of Colorado Springs, Co; eight great grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren.
Antoinette was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie; a daughter-law, Fran Bonderman; two sisters, Mary Monson and Elizabeth Wilson and her parents.
Memorial gifts may be given to Hospice of Sheldon
and the Christian Retirement Home, Sheldon.
