AMELIA R. “MILLIE” KUDRIN
Amelia Ruth “Millie” Kudrin, the daughter of Glenn and Cora (Smith) Smoot was born September 18, 1945 in Laurens, Iowa. Millie started school in Laurens, Iowa and in the 3rd grade she moved with her parents to Royal, Iowa, where she attended school and graduated from the Royal High School in 1964. She was united in marriage to Ron Taylor in June 1966, he preceded her in death in August of 1969; in January of 1971, Millie married Joe Tindall and he preceded her in death in August of 1982. On September 19, 1987, Millie was united in marriage to David S. Kudrin in Omaha, Nebraska. They lived in Omaha and in Missouri Valley, Iowa before moving to the Sheldon area in 1995; David preceded her in death on October 25, 2003 in Sheldon, Iowa. Millie had worked as the editor of the Graettinger Times in Graettinger, Iowa; she had owned and operated a cake shop in Emmetsburg, Iowa for 9 years and for over 40 years she has worked with people with special needs. For the past several years, Millie has been employed with the Village Northwest in Sheldon, Iowa. Millie passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2008 at her residence in Sheldon, Iowa reaching the age of 63 years, 1 month and 28 days.
Millie was of a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Sibley, Iowa. She enjoyed scrapbooking, making cards, knitting, sewing and her most favorite hobby was her grandchildren.
Millie leaves to cherish her memory her children, Michael and his wife, Mary Taylor of Patuxent River, Maryland; a daughter, Michelle Francis of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; three stepchildren, Tami Fransico of Omaha, Nebraska; Tara and her husband, Kent Hyde of Council Bluffs, Iowa; David H. and his wife, Laura Kudrin of Lee Summit, Missouri; twelve grandchildren, Desiree Kudrin; Mickey Taylor; Hannah and Sidney Tangeman; Tyler, Andrew and Lacey Taylor; Gilly and Jr. Hyde; Irie and Kathryn Rose Kudrin and Zephyren Williams; she is also survived by three sisters, Peggy and her husband, Lenis Luchtel of Lake View, Iowa; Linda and her husband, Ronald Swenson of Spencer, Iowa; Flo and her husband, Ted Lombard of Anchorage, Alaska; and brother and his wife, Bart and Becky Smoot of Royal, Iowa; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her three husbands, Ron, Joe and David; her parents and two infant brothers.
