Services for Alice M. Whited, age 88, of Paullina who passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars. A private family service will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at the Eldridge Family Funeral Home in Paullina with Rev. Donald Meyer ~ officiating.
Burial will be at the Prairie View Cemetery in Paullina.
Visitation with no family present will be from 5 – 7 P.M. on Monday, December 14, 2020 at the Eldridge Family Funeral Home in Paullina.
Masks are required during the visitation.

ALICE M. WHITED
Alice Mathilda Whited the daughter of Art and Ella (Fiddelke) Gebert was born April 27, 1932 in O’Brien County, Iowa and passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at the Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars, Iowa reaching the age of 88 years, seven months and twelve days. She attended rural school and St. John Lutheran School in Germantown. On January 24, 1965, she was united in marriage to James Whited of Marcus, Iowa at St. John Lutheran Church in Germantown, Iowa. They farmed by Marcus until November of 1993. They resided in Paullina for their remaining years. Jim passed away on November 3, 2014 in Cherokee, Iowa. Alice had been a resident of the Heartland Care Center in Marcus for the past year.
Alice enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, collecting dishes, flower gardening and watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball. Alice was also faithful in documenting daily family activity and weather. She kept a daily diary for over 50 years.
She was baptized on May 8, 1932 and later confirmed on April 14, 1946 at St. John Lutheran Church in Germantown and was currently a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina.
Alice is survived by her son, Dave (Becky) Whited of Marcus, Iowa; daughter, Diane Whited of Bigfork, Montana; three grandsons, Austin Whited and (fiancée Madison); Tyler and Branden Whited all of Marcus, Iowa; two sisters, Gladys Paulsen of Sanborn, Iowa and Lois Graff of Casa Grande, Arizona; two brothers, Willis (Annette) Gebert of Hartley, Iowa and Dennis (Linda) Gebert of Granville, Iowa also other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and in-laws.
