ADELINE B. STEUCK
Adeline Belle Steuck, the daughter of William and Eunice (Cooper) Signall, was born November 7, 1934 in Gray, Iowa. She moved with her family to the Royal, Iowa area, where she attended school and graduated from Royal High School. On June 27, 1952, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Steuck in Sutherland, Iowa. After their marriage the couple lived in San Antonio, Texas, the couple returned to Iowa and made their home in Iowa City for 20 years. They lived in Spirit Lake for 7 years, before moving to Harlingen, Texas in 1977. While in Harlingen, the couple operated Ken’s Paint and Body Shop and Adeline worked in the Lighthouse as a sales person for light fixtures and fans. The couple was blessed with a son, Robert “Robby” born in 1964 and who passed away on August 12, 2001 in a car accident in Texas. Adeline passed away on Monday, January 10, 2005 at the Angel Care Hospice in Harlingen, reaching the age of 70 years, 2 months and 3 days.
Adeline was a very compassionate and caring person.
Adeline leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Ken Steuck of Harlingen, Texas; a brother, Robert and his wife, Peg Signall of Dallas, Texas; two sisters-in-law and their husbands, Lorraine and Gail Boardman and Kary and Roger Gopperton all of Sutherland, Iowa; also nieces and nephews and many friends both in Iowa and in Texas.
She was preceded in death by her son, Robert “Robby”; her parents, Bill and Eunice Signall and her husbands’ parents, Alfred and Louise Steuck.
